About the Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at a well-established hotel in Newmarket. Working within an award-winning kitchen holding an AA Rosette, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and high standards at all times.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to AA Rosette standards.
  • Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served according to recipes, and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain excellent levels of cleanliness, organisation, and food hygiene throughout your section.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control.
  • Minimise waste and support effective cost management within the kitchen.
  • Support the training and development of Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, health and safety, and company policies.
  • Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef de Partie within a quality hotel or restaurant.
  • A positive and hardworking attitude, with the willingness to learn and develop your skills.
  • Passion for fresh food and high culinary standards.
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience working within an AA Rosette or similar quality-driven establishment.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of seasonal and locally sourced produce.
