Pastry Chef de Partie

BLW Recruitment is seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join a professional and well-established kitchen team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative pastry chef to produce high-quality desserts, pastries and baked goods in a fast-paced, professional kitchen. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and wider brigade to deliver exceptional food while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present a range of high-quality desserts, pastries, breads and baked goods.
• Contribute creative ideas for seasonal menus and new dessert offerings.
• Ensure consistency in quality, presentation and portion control.
• Manage stock levels, ordering and minimise waste.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, HACCP and allergen compliance.
• Support and mentor junior members of the kitchen team.
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen brigade to deliver exceptional food and service.
• Keep the pastry section organised, clean and operating efficiently.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role.
• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or Patisserie (Level 3 desirable).
• A genuine passion for pastry, baking and dessert production.
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP and allergen legislation.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• A positive attitude with excellent teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.
