We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, member-focused golf club with a welcoming and community-driven atmosphere. In addition to serving its golfing members, the club hosts a wide range of functions including social events, weddings, birthdays, and private celebrations. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to take full ownership of the kitchen and enhance the food offering across all areas of the business.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the kitchen, delivering high-quality, seasonal menus that balance traditional clubhouse favourites with modern culinary influences. You will work closely with senior management to ensure a consistently excellent dining experience for members, guests, and event attendees.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team
• Create and deliver fresh, seasonal menus for bar service, restaurant dining, and event catering
• Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
• Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP regulations
• Manage kitchen budgets, food costs, and minimise wastage
• Deliver catering for member events, competitions, society days, and private functions

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, or a strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
• A genuine passion for high-quality, freshly prepared food
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
• Thorough knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen compliance
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and event days
