Head Chef

Job Summary
We specialise in, but are not limited to, Italian food, catering for weddings large and small, corporate events and intimate private dining experiences.

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate head chef to manage the kitchen team and work closely with the Executive Chef Director to produce the food for our events.

Responsibilities would include:

• Work with a team in a busy fast paced environment to produce great food.
• Help to receive and check in food and drink deliveries.
• Manage a small team to ensure all food is prepared in line with company standards.
• Managing the team to ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and regulations.
• Ensure all relevant health and safety and food safety procedures are adhered to and relevant paper work completed on a day-to-day basis.
• Costing of menus
• Follow recipe guidelines accurately to produce food at the required standard.
• Monitoring of stock levels
• Leading a kitchen team at events

Essential Requirements:

• Full clean driving license
• Possess the Right to Work in the UK
• Passionate about creating exceptional food
• The ability to manage and deliver large scale events
• Ability to follow specs for food preparation
• Ability to manage a team
• Reliability and commitment to the role
• Customer service skills
• Positive can do attitude
• Basic requirements include knife skills, high quality and speed output.
• The ability to use initiative and work independently is required.

Salary

£40,000 per annum or negotiable DOE (40 hours per week)

A flexible approach to hours will be necessary, but will consist of 5 days per week, including some Saturdays and evenings, and will be subject to change depending on work schedules

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
